I read the bible most of the time.

When are the first prayer service?
Long before dawn.

How many services every day?
There are six services each day.

What do you do in the morning?
After a light breakfast, we read a chapter from the Abbey rules and discuss business for the day.

What things do you own?
I own nothing but a single bowl for food.

Do you make your own food?
Yes, we often make our own food such as bread and ale.

What do you do between prayers?
We have many household jobs to do between prayers.

Were you able to make conversation?
No, I am not allowed to talk.

Do you help the poor?
Yes, I help the poor.  I give clothes and food and money to them.

Do you let travellers come into the Abbey?
Yes, we let travellers into the Abbey.

Were you very good schooled?
Yes, we were very good schooled.

Are there any other names for an Abbey?
Yes, another name for an abbey is monasteries.

Is there many hospitals in Europe?
No, there is not many hospitals in Europe.

Do you have a good life?
Life in a monastery is hard but rewarding.

What clothes do you wear?
I wear a cloak and a rope for a belt.

Who do you work for?
I work for the bishop.

What job do you do?
I do many household and farming jobs.

Where do you live?
I live in a manor house.
